This is so weird. I saw this title in a book I was flipping through yesterday, and thought it was the weirdest and most interesting book title ever. I had no idea what it was... still don't, actually... but it's weird to see it mentioned again.
Aha! It's a really intriguing book to dig into. I read it when I was 15. I devoured the thing but I don't think I understood it completely, so I just savored bits here and there.
it's philosophy, essentially, and as a more literary person I was more interested in his travels and his relationship with his son. but of course there's not much of that, and although the book is so very easy to read it IS philosophical and therefore resistant to most 15-year-olds. also, it wreaks of the 70's-- both a good and bad thing, at least when it pertains to lessons of metaphysics. in my opinion. still, i liked that dang book. i've been wanting to re-read it lately... like i say, that quote is the only thing i really truly remember about it. and yes. what an amazing title it has.
